Get to Know Dr. Hutchinson

Why do you like working with kids?
I love their energy and resilience. Kids can fuss and cry during an exam but then immediately smile and give me a high 5 when it’s over. They can smile and play even when they’re sick.

What is your favorite healthy dessert?
Why eat a dessert if it’s healthy? That’s part of the fun!

What are some of your hobbies?
Playing golf and watching LSU football

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
To fly, especially over Baton Rouge traffic.

I’d like to be able to look down at the paths of rivers and bayous. I would also like to fly over golf courses.

What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas — I love the music, décor, and spirit of the season. I love Silent Night, especially when we sing it by candlelight during Christmas Eve service.

I also really like Santa Baby but specifically the original version sung by Eartha Kitt. Fun fact: Did you know Eartha Kitt played Catwoman on the Batman TV show in the 1960s?

What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved reading the Hardy Boys series.
